- Guest has read, understands, and agrees to Callaghan Country's waiver of liability.
- The guest making the reservation is responsible for advising all additional guests required to read, understand, and agree to Callaghan Country's waiver of liability prior to joining this adventure to Callaghan Country's Journeyman Lodge.
- The same paper version of this waiver of liability is to be completed with signature on-site, so as to be witnessed in the presence of a Callaghan Country staff member, during the check-in process of your adventure. The guest making the reservation is responsible for advising all additional guests of this protocol.
- Guest understands and accepts Callaghan Country's Group Fees & Payment Policy.
- Guest understands and accepts Callaghan Country's Group Cancellation Policy.
- Guest understands and accepts the Lodge Guest Code of Conduct.

FEES & PAYMENT
All fees listed are in Canadian Dollars and subject to applicable taxes. All fees are subject to change until a record of confirmation and receipt is issued by Callaghan Country. Due to the emergence of the Covid-19 global pandemic and its resultant impacts on our small business, Callaghan Country has now moved to a new booking procedure that shares some of the risks implicit in offering these unique adventures. We feel this to be a fair approach to our customers, most of whom are versed in risk mitigation, and to us as small entities trying to stay financially viable during these challenging times.
Please note that in addition to any reservations, all visitors must possess a valid Ski Callaghan Admission ticket/pass validated on the day of their arrival.
Reservation Fees (payable when the reservation is made). Upon agreement to our booking & cancellation policies, a non-refundable reservation fee of $100.00 per person, per reservation, will be required to be paid immediately. This is an administrative/preparation fee that reserves a place and period in our operating season for which Callaghan Country will not make any other reservations or accept any other guest. This fee covers the costs associated with registration and the preparations necessary for your intended stay. These costs are incurred to us whether you are able to utilize this time slot or not, for whatever reason. As such, once these funds are received, these services are deemed to have been rendered and that portion of the Service Agreement concluded. The Reservation Fee is not a deposit; it is a cost of business rendered on your behalf and is not refundable in any event.
Overnight Accommodation & Adventure Package/Service Fees. The remaining Group Folio Invoice covers the costs associated with the on-site delivery of the overnight adventure package services you have reserved to enjoy at our facility. These fees are due in two installments:

- 50% of the remaining Group Folio Invoice is due 90 days prior to your reserved arrival date, and
- Full Group Folio Invoice payment is required 45 days prior to your reserved arrival date.

LODGE GUEST CODE OF CONDUCT
- Group will appoint and identify a ‘Group Organizer’ who will be responsible for: communicating contents of the Group Folio contract to all respective guests, supporting the arrival and check-in process at Alexander Falls Touring Centre to ensure all guests have attended waiver presentation, completed the document, and returned it to Adventure Coordinator. Liaising guest questions with the Lodge hosts while at the lodge.
- The Group Organizer accepts liability for the behaviour and decisions of all respective guests during their time with Callaghan Country.
- Our operating standards have been modified to comply with current COVID-19 guidelines and regulations as set out by Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCH) and our industry partners. These initiatives are consistently evolving and will likely be adapted based on health recommendations at the time of your booking. Please review our active COVID-19 Operating Guide, and make sure this trip is still the right option for you.
- Guests will respect the experience of other guests in house, maintaining an inclusive social lodge atmosphere and ensuring all guests are welcomed in shared spaces such as the 2nd floor lounge and dining room. Exclusive group experiences can be enjoyed outdoors. MASK WEARING & PHYSICAL DISTANCING REQUIRED: ADAPTED COVID-19 GUIDELINES & PROTOCOLS IN EFFECT
- An adventure to a backcountry lodge is not for the faint of heart! While an eager, ready-for-the-challenge attitude is the first step to success, please ensure all respective guests get acquainted with the details of this adventure and prepare their body, gear, and attire well ahead of the trip. If anyone has any physical/medical concerns, consult a medical professional to address them. Good preparation will maximize everyone’s enjoyment of this adventure!
- Journeyman Lodge does not permit pets inside the facility.
- Occupancy - All Sleeping Nooks, Guestrooms, and Suites accommodate a 2 people maximum occupancy, with the exception of the Solitude Suite that can accommodate a maximum 4 guests. There is a pull-out couch on the 3rd floor available with Full Lodge Capacity reservations for a maximum of 24 guests. No sleeping bags or cots can be brought as supplementary sleeping arrangement.
- Guests will respect the experience of other guests in house, maintaining an inclusive social lodge atmosphere and ensuring all guests are welcomed in shared spaces such as the 2nd floor lounge and dining room. Exclusive group experiences can be enjoyed outdoors.
- Guests are not to wear outdoor shoes inside the lodge. Please bring your own indoor shoes or slippers.
- No leaving wet towel and/or other wet articles on bed duvet covers or any of the furniture of any kind.
- Our lodge is a smoke-free establishment (this includes ‘vaping’); no smoking in the building or within 50' of windows or exterior doors.
- No littering of any kind in the lodge or on the property. Decorations, rice, confetti (inside or outside of the lodge) and any other materials that will be applied to the walls, floors, or ceilings are prohibited; this includes nails, tape, glue, or sand.
- Food preparation and cooking is not permitted in the kitchen. Please consult the lodge chef if you need any access to kitchen supplies.
- Meals provided are specified in the package booked. By substituting different ingredients and approaches our chef can accommodate the following common food allergies/restrictions (2 weeks’ notice required): Vegetarian | *Gluten or wheat | Eggs | Fish | Milk or lactose | Peanuts and tree nuts | Shellfish | Soy | Corn *We ask that guests with gluten or wheat restrictions bring their own bread and crackers to supplement their meals. Please refer to our Special Events/Catering Menu for special meal requests and additional costs.
- The intent of the lodge is to provide a comfortable place to venture from and enjoy the outdoors; if you’ve chosen our venue for a celebration, please be considerate of this model.
- Responsible Après Social Vibes - Callaghan Country respects a responsible celebratory après ski culture and welcomes guests to bring to supply their own alcohol beverages to be packed along in the luggage transfer service. Please do not abuse this service and do not bring excessive alcohol onto the property. Impairment from alcohol or substance use is not acceptable in a backcountry environment. Know the effects of alcohol and drugs, for your safety and the safety of others. Callaghan Country reserves the right to refuse future reservations with any parties or individuals who demonstrate impairment on-site.
- Accommodation floors will be quiet after 10pm. The 10 pm lights-out schedule is a guideline for responsible behavior and respect normally accorded to a healthy work environment. Callaghan Country has a has a zero-tolerance policy in which it will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in the lodge, or may remove a person who, while on the premises acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy property, uses aggressive language or otherwise threatening tone to staff or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance.
- Please be mindful that the lodge is our team’s ‘home’ and you are a guest. Journeyman Lodge is not a hotel or accommodation rental. Use common sense and behave respectfully when on the property; the 10pm quiet time is good for everyone. Imagine starting a 6am workday with guests in your house.
- We are on a septic system, nothing but human waste and toilet paper to be flushed down the toilets.
- Ensure all cans/bottles are fully emptied and placed in the recycling bins provided at the lodge.
- Callaghan Country is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. We will make a reasonable effort to contact the guest if an item is left in the guest's room after the guest has checked-out. Item(s) will be placed in a secured location at the Alexander Falls Touring Centre for up to 2 weeks after departure. Once the initial 2-week period has elapsed, the items(s) will be moved to a general ‘Lost & Found’ bin accessible to the public. We will not ‘deliver’ or ‘ship’ any lost & found items, and it is the responsibility of the guest to either personally pick up their items or arrange pickup. Any items in the Lost Found, which are not claimed within the winter operating season, will be donated to a local charity or discarded.
CANCELLATIONS
All Cancellations must be received in writing. Callaghan Country will remove the reservation from its calendar along will any associated balance payments and provide you with a cancellation receipt.
Please remember that transportation to and from the lodge is weather dependent and delays can happen. Callaghan Country Wilderness Adventures is not responsible for delays or cancellations due to poor access conditions, poor roads, restrictions on trail access, or weather not conducive to outdoor recreation pursuits.

There are no exceptions to this policy
All payments are final. Callaghan Country does not provide refunds under any circumstance; this includes but is not limited to weather or snow stability issues; health-related issues; scheduling changes; missed connections; losses of childcare; border crossing problems; personal or family emergencies; regional restrictions/closures state of emergencies; illnesses or injuries.
Refunds for cancelled reservations can only be collected from your own cancellation/interruption insurance provider. Some credit cards provide this type of insurance; others do not. To avoid any financial hardship that an unexpected cancellation or interruption could cause, we strongly urge our clients to purchase appropriate Trip Cancellation/Interruption and Emergency Medical Insurance through a reputable insurance provider to protect you and your investment. This typically needs to be purchased within 72hrs of making your reservation (purchase window) and costs approximately 5% to 7% of your trip cost, depending on the policy. - Cancellations received more than 90 days prior to arrival date will forfeit the Reservation Fees ($100.00/person) and halt any balance payments.
- Cancellations made between 90 and 45 days will forfeit the 50% Group Folio Invoice payment in addition to Reservation Fees ($100.00/person) and halt the final balance payment.
- Cancellations received less than 45 days prior to arrival are acknowledged and remain 100% non-refundable.
