LAYOUT & CAPACITY The 5,000 square foot Journeyman Lodge is a well-appointed backcountry inn boasting friendly hospitality, great food and comfortable accommodation. With a commercial kitchen and a dining room that seats up to 48 people, large groups can make the most of any function or celebration. Guests can enjoy socializing in the inviting fireside lounge area or gear up the competitive spirit with a game of pool, ping-pong, or darts; all in the breathtaking backdrop of our secluded, “postcard” worthy sub-alpine valley. Here’s a quick break-down of our room configuration to give you a better idea of what’s possible in terms of sleeping arrangements at a glance:
2nd Floor: max sleeping capacity of 8 adults 1 Solitude Suite: a spacious suite that can sleep up to 4 guests, featuring a bedroom, living room with pull-out couch, large private balcony and an ensuite bathroom (accessed via the bedroom).
3rd Floor: max sleeping capacity of 16 adults 2 Standard Rooms: small bedrooms with a single feature window of the Solitude Valley.

This mountain lodge features a large and relaxing lounge area where over-stuffed couches and armchairs are comfortably adjacent to a beautiful stone fireplace. Books, maps, board games, dart board, a pool/ping-pong table and even a house guitar provide entertainment far beyond the reach of television. There is indoor plumbing, running water and hot showers are available for all. Only a 5 min hike from the lodge is our wood-fire Scandinavian Sauna that sits next to a rushing alpine creek – the perfect environment for guests to relax and rejuvenate after a full day of recreation in the mountains. Guests are welcome to bring along their ipod to enjoy personalized music during their stay! |
