Day-Use Nordic Cross-Country Ski Program |

With the new paved road access into the Callaghan Valley, Callaghan Country began offering day-use access to its incredible Nordic terrain last winter. Better yet, we have agreed with neighbouring Whistler Olympic Park to honour each other's trail tickets and season passes, in an effort to create a seamless and fully comprehensive Nordic skiing experience in the Callaghan Valley. Together with Whistler Olympic Park, the Callaghan Valley offers more than 95 km of groomed cross-country ski trails to suit skiers of every ability level. In addition, the valley boasts an extensive network of snowshoeing trails and over 1,000 hectares of terrain suitable for Nordic and alpine ski touring. With Whistler Olympic Park's world-class cross-country, biathlon and ski jumping facilities combined with Callaghan Country's pristine wilderness setting, spectacular scenic qualities, full-service backcountry lodge and range of winter activities, the Callaghan Valley promises to become one of the premiere destinations in the world for Nordic skiing and self-propelled winter recreation of every kind. A special note for dog owners: Both of our lower snowshoe loops have been designated as "dog-friendly,", as has the first 5km of our Wild Spirit multi-use trail (XC ski and snowshoe). This makes for a beautiful 10 km ski (out and back) for you and your canine companion. In addition, Whistler Olympic Park offers the 4km "Pooched" loop. Please make sure your dog is under your care and control at all times, and don't forget to scoop the poop! The Easy Way UpFor those wishing to save their energy for the upper valley trail network, and for those preferring to go snowshoeing or alpine ski touring, we offer a Backcountry Snow Shuttle service. The Snow Coach is a modified F350 crew cab truck with a passenger pod on rubber tracks. The snow coach can transport up to 10 people per load. Individuals can book a 1-way shuttle for $31.50 (GST included). Seats must be be booked in advance. We require a minimum of 6 people to run the snow coach. We will try to accommodate groups of 5 or less using our snowcat (seats 1 in the cab and up to 4 on the deck; departure time will be early as it will coincide with trail grooming). We also offer a snow coach charter service. The price for a 1-way transfer is $288.75 and a return trip is $551.25 (GST included).
