"Ski the Callaghan Valley"        Day-Use Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing

 

Come Ski the Callaghan Valley and discover some of the continent's finest groomed cross-country ski trails, wilderness snowshoe loops and backcountry Nordic and alpine touring terrain.

Winter dates of day-use operation are Nov. 20, 2010 - May 1, 2011.

We have partnered with Whistler Olympic Park again this season, so skiers will be able to enjoy both the Callaghan Country and Whistler Olympic Park trail systems with the purchase of a single day ticket or season pass.

Come up and enjoy more than 90 km of cross-country ski trails to suit people of every ability level, along with several kms of snowshoe trails and over 1,000 hectares of prime Nordic and alpine ski touring terrain. 

A word about parking: We expanded our parking lot this past summer to compensate for the increased traffic (with VANOC’s help).  The lot will be able to handle at least 220 vehicles, and possibly up to 250. That’s an increase of at least 165% over last season!  

A special note for dog owners: Our lower snowshoe loops have been designated as "dog-friendly,", as has the first 5km of our Wild Spirit multi-use trail (now called "Real Life"). This makes for a beautiful 10 km ski (out and back) for you and your canine companion. Please note that Whistler Olympic Park's "Pooched" loop will be open again this season. Please make sure your dog is under your care and control at all times, and don't forget to scoop the poop!

"Ski the Callaghan Valley" Season Passes COMING SOON!

For those of you who live in the region, you might want to think about purchasing a season pass. Please note the details below have not yet been updated for 2010-11 - please check back in the fall for details.

 

The Tri-Area Season Pass is back!

We’re pleased to announce that we've teamed up with Lost Lake Park again this winter to offer a combined Tri-Area pass. The Tri-Area pass gives you access to all three of Whistler’s Nordic areas: over 100 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, night skiing (at Lost Lake), and snowshoe trails. And Lost Lake Park is open daily through February, 2010 so Tri-Area passholders can ski all season long!

Join the excitement as the Whistler area emerges as one of North America's premiere Nordic ski destinations. Season passholders well receive the following great perks:

  • Receive the group rate of $169.00 per person, per night on ski-in / ski-out lodging packages (standard rooms), regardless of group size.  Includes: luggage transfer, meals (appies and 4-course dinner on Day 1, continental breakfast and bagged lunch on Day 2), and non-alcoholic beverages. Discount valid on the individual passholder's portion of the booking only. Not valid from February 12 - 28, 2010.
  • Get a "2 for 1" rental voucher and a voucher good for 1 adult day ticket when you buy your pass before December 5.

  • Pass prices are quoted in Canadian funds and include the 5% GST.
  • All Callaghan Valley season passes are valid at Whistler Olympic Park and Callaghan Country. Tri-Area passes area also valid at Lost Lake Park.
  • A Family is defined as two adults and their dependent children, living at home.
  • The applicable age for a season pass is the age at the date of purchase.
  • Early Bird passes are on sale until December 5th.
  • Passes can be purchased in advance by telephone or by submitting a completed application (click here).
  • Passes will be processed and administered by Cross Country Connection, operating from a temporary trailer at the Callaghan Country base beginning in mid-November.
  • You will be required to have your photo taken on your first visit to Callaghan Country. Once your photo is taken, your pass will be ready within a few minutes.
  • You will be required to read and sign a Release of Liability / Waiver of Claims Agreement when you pick up your pass.
  • Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Passes remain the property of Callaghan Country and may be revoked for misuse or violation of the XC Skier Responsibility Code.

  • Skiers with a stamped ticket from the same day at Lost Lake will receive 50% off their Callaghan Country day ticket.
