Winter Backcountry Lodge Rates

An extraordinary event deserves an unforgettable setting...

Callaghan Lodge, nestled into a pristine sub-alpine valley, surrounded by snow capped peaks, is a secluded and spectacular wilderness getaway - perfect for weddings, anniversaries, reunions, milestone birthday parties and other exclusive celebrations.

With 8 bedrooms, the 5,000 square foot lodge provides comfortable accommodation for up to 24 people, depending on the group's configuration.

The lodge can sleep up to 15 single people in beds (including 3 on pull-out sofas, 4 sharing two twin rooms, and 2 on the twin bunkbeds in the Solitude loft).

Winter lodge base rental rate: $2,700.00
Price is quoted in Canadian funds and does not include the 5% Goods & Services Tax (GST), 8% Hotel tax (accommodation portion only), or gratuities. Price is subject to change without notice.
  • Lodge rental is for a period of 24 hours. There is a 2-night minimum from Dec. 18/09– Jan. 3/10 and from Feb. 12 - 28, 2010.
  • Lodge rental includes exclusive overnight use of the lodge but please note that the first floor of the lodge (reception area and dining room) will remain open to the public from 9am - 9pm daily.
  • Price is based on a maximum overnight group size of 24 people (up to 40 people for day trips).
  • Price includes the services of two lodge hosts.
  • Price does not include transportation, food or beverage, guides, equipment, additional service staff (as necessary), or gratuities for service excellence.
  • Price does not include event coordination. Please let us know if you would like a referral.

Winter Lodge Access

  

The lodge is located 12.5km from our staging area. In the winter, access is via ski-in, snow coach, snowmobile, or helicopter. Transportation rates do not include the 5% GST or gratuities.

Snow Coach Service

Ford F350 Crew Cab on snow tracks with a passenger pod – seats up to 5 people in the cab, with room for up to 5 more in the pod (depending on luggage requirements and trail / snow conditions).
$175.00 / hour plus GST, minimum: 3 hours

Snowmobile Service
We can transport up to 14 people (doubling) via snowmobile using our fleet of snowmobiles.
$120.00 per person plus GST

For groups larger than 14, or for those desiring a single rider option, please ask us for a customized quotation.

Helicopter Service
Provided by Blackcomb Helicopters, ASTAR or TwinStar helicopters – 5 passenger capacity.

  • TwinStar     $2,418.00 / hour* plus GST
  • Bell 407      $2,205.00 / hour* plus GST

* A return trip to the lodge is estimated at 0.8/hour; one way is 0.4/hour. Actual flight time may vary. You will be billed for actual time flown. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Snowcat Service
Snowcat with flat deck for transportation of equipment as well as for any site preparation that may be necessary beyond standard trail grooming.
$175.00 / hour plus GST, minimum: 5 hours

  • There is a minimum charge per meal, based on a group size of 16. Maximum group size is 40.
  • Prices include kitchen and service staff. Additional staff charges will apply for groups of 25 or more.
  • Prices do not include the 5% GST or 15% gratuity.
  • All menu selections must be made in advance. For more information, please ask to see our menu.
  • On request, we would be pleased to provide vegetarian or other menu options for guests with dietary restrictions or food allergies. Please let us know in advance.
  • Depending on the nature of your event, our Chef can work with you to develop a custom menu. Additional charges may apply depending on food costs.

Exclusive Dining Room Usage
For a measure of privacy without lodge rental, we are pleased to provide use of the dining room for private meetings or functions. Rate guarantees exclusive use of the dining room for 2 hours. Minimum 10 people/Maximum 40 people.
$50.00 per person plus the cost of food and staff.

Additional Services

  • In-house event coordination $50.00 / hour + GST
  • Guiding / instruction $400.00 - $800.00 / per day per guide (price depends on the nature of the activity and the size of the group).
  • Sports equipment rentals $15.00 - $65.00 + GST & PST / person, depending on equipment. Please see our equipment rental rates for details.
