The staging area is located about 9km up the Callaghan Valley Nordic Access road, which is about 13km South West of Whistler Resort and 100 km North of Vancouver.

In the heart of Callaghan Country, in a picturesque sub-alpine meadow, 4,500’ above sea level, is Callaghan Lodge – Whistler’s only full-service remote-access lodge.

Cozy and charming backcountry lodge situated on the shores of its own private lake - first opened in November 1998.

Rooms: Currently accommodates up to 24 people in 8 private rooms

• 5 standard rooms: 3 with queen berths, 2 with twin berths (sleeps 10, depending on group configuration)
• 2 superior rooms with queen beds and private bathrooms (sleeps 4)
• 1 deluxe suite: the Solitude Suite featuring an ensuite, private living room with pull-out sofa, and loft with a second pull-out sofa and two twin bunkbeds (sleeps 8, depending on group configuration)

Future development plans will see the addition of 3 more private rooms, a retail and rental facility, meeting room, and sauna.

Meals: Delicious, gourmet meals prepared by our Lodge Chef and served 'en famille.'

Amenities: Full kitchen and dining facilities, comfortable lounge area, stone and propane fireplaces, library, pool / ping pong table, commemorative house guitar, darts, board games, gear drying room, indoor plumbing and shower facilities.

Callaghan Lodge is located 12.5km/7.7mi from the main staging area.

In the winter, primary access is by skiing in.  It can take anywhere from 1 - 4 hours to ski in, depending on the group's fitness and ability level. It takes about half the time to ski out. Guests also have the option of arranging snowmobile, snow coach, or helicopter transfers (subject to additional charges).

In the summer, primary access is via helicopter. It is possible to drive (4WD only) to Callaghan Lake Provincial Park, and then hike in the remaining 4km/2.5mi.
