Brad Sills - President

After arriving in Whistler in 1974, Brad spent four years working as a Forest Ranger with the Provincial government.

While employed with the Forest Service, Brad was active in creating the early access routes to such popular recreation sites as Meager Creek Hot Springs and the Joffre Lakes Provincial Park.

Whirlwind Homes Ltd.
In 1979 Brad started Whirlwind Homes Ltd., a Whistler-based construction and development company which has gone on to win numerous design awards for the unique and prestigious residences that his team creates from scratch.

In 1981 Brad was introduced to the Upper Callaghan Valley by close friend, Nic Slater who had started to build a log cabin in the area to facilitate overnight ski touring.

The Beginning of Callaghan Country
Through protracted effort, the company, then called Mad River Nordic Skiing Enterprises, was finally successful in acquiring a land tenure for the purposes of developing and operating a comprehensive Nordic centre focusing on commercial backcountry recreation.
