The Whistler Olympic Park adds an immense mix of cross-country trails to the area, with approximately 14 kilometres of competition trails for cross-country skiing and biathlon plus eight kilometres of training trails and an additional 20 to 25 kilometres of recreational trails will cover spectacular cross-country ski terrain next to the 2010 Winter Games core area.

According to the Bid Book, “the philosophy of the Whistler Nordic Centre plan is to create an accessible, world-class destination for all of the Nordic sports, and to maximize year-round use of compatible outdoor recreational and sporting activities, such as mountain biking and walking trails during the summer.”

This plan fits seamlessly with Callaghan Country’s vision which is to become the most renowned and respected mountain adventure wilderness resort in the world.
